Coo-coo for "New Moon"!

Did anyone else see "New Moon" yet?  I did and it was even better than "Twilight"!  I saw it the day it opened with my boyfriend and even though this movie isn't normally his cup of tea, he admits that it was a good movie!  Our favorite parts?  Mine had to be the ending, HANDS DOWN! Can we say cliff-hanger?! At least for me since I have not read the series yet.  My boyfriend appreciated the fight scenes, especially the ones including the wolves.  He is Team Jacob and I am Team Edward, which I knew was going to happen!

Some cool Robert Pattinson trivia:
  • Me and him were both born within the same month and year! May, 1986.
  • To the Robert Pattinson & Twilight haters, especially those who say Harry Potter is better than Twlight: Robert was in Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire (2005), as Cedric Diggory!  I guess you can't hate him that much right?!
I am not anti-Harry Potter, I just think Twilight is way better!

Pictures from me & Enrique's "New Moon" Date: [Photo heavy, with good reason] ;)

This is my "New Moon" Look: Should I do a tutorial on it?

Enrique bought me a "New Moon" movie poster at the merchandise table outside of the theater.

We then ate some amazing sushi, which was half off! I believe there was some special going on that night...

So in the midst of doing some work today, I was browsing around on Stephenie Meyer's website and came across this:

A Twilight Fan/Dork's dream!  Especially for people like me who need to start reading the books.  I promise myself that I will make time to do so when I am not so tied down with Graduate School!

What I really want!

I might just go to my local library if I don't get a chance to buy them in the meantime!

My questions to you!
  • What did you think of New Moon? What was your favorite part?
  • Should I do a tutorial for my New Moon Look?
  • Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Did this change after seeing New Moon?
  • Do you know of any cool Twilight fan/merch. sites that we should know about?
Leave your answers below! I am so interested to hear your thoughts!

Repost-N.O.T.D. "Lady Godiva",by Essie

My N.O.T.D. is "Lady Godiva", by Essie.
This was originally posted on 11/13/09.

These pictures were taken with my BB Tour, which I used the focus and a flash.
I actually like the outcome of the Blackberry camera, as it still uses the flash, but represents the true nail color!

And here is a a close-up on my nails:

You will see this color being featured in an upcoming "Nail Experiment" that I am doing, and a haul as well.  So be on the look out for that!  I absolutely love this color, because it is a true deep, chocolate brown color that looks great with my skin tone!  I find it interesting that a nail polish color can look one way in the bottle, and a totally different way on everyone else depending on your skin tone.  The other day I was wearing another Essie nail polish, and a friend of mine told she couldn't believe I was wearing that particular color because it looks completely different on her!

I just wanted to share this color with you guys if you haven't already heard of it, because it will be my go to color for this Fall and Winter season!

Upcoming Nail related posts:
  • Haul on Various Nail Products
  • My new type of manicure, The Nail Experiment: Does it work?

Twilight: The Saga Continues...

Is anyone else excited about "New Moon" coming out today? I know I am!  I must admit, a while back, you wouldn't have heard me say this.  I actually do not like giving into the "hype" when music, movies, etc.--comes out.  For some reason, when I see everyone going crazy about something to this nature, I actually wait a while to see what I think of it.  Case in point I love many artists who are mainstream, but most of the artists that I listen to are well known, but have not yet blown up into MAINSTREAM SUPER-STARDOM.

I have a interest in vampires and things of this nature, having been into Ann Rice novels when I was younger.  Finally, I gave into my curiosity and I watched the movie Twilight last night, which is the first installment of the Stephenie Meyers saga.  I actually LOVED it!  I have heard mixed reviews on this movie.  Of course, I hear many "teeny-boppers" going coo coo for cocoa puffs over the two main men in this movie, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black , played by Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner, respectively.  I have also read reviews where people bashed the movie for being to mainstream and not sticking exactly to the book.  I have not yet read the books, so I cannot vouch for that.  What are your thoughts?

What I know is this: I am truly intrigued by the story between The Cullens, The Wolf Pack, and The Volturi, and I cannot wait to see "New Moon" this weekend!  I am also planning on reading the books as well and catching up to the awesomeness that I have been missing out on.

Are you a Twilight fan as well?  Here are some websites that I have found out about that you might like to check out if you haven't done so already:

Stephanie Meyer's Official Twilight Website: http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/twilight.html
The Official Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/twilight
The Official You Tube channel for the movie: http://www.youtube.com/officialtwilightfilm
Facebook Page: http://www.facebook.com/twilight?ref=ts
Twitter: http://twitter.com/twilight
Official Merchandise: http://shop.cafepress.com/twilight
The "Team Edward" & "Team Jacob" Bottles! Which team are you on?! : http://www.newmoonbottles.com/
 The Twilight Convention! http://www.creationent.com/twilight/

And even more exciting:
Twilight Beauty Products! : http://twilightbeauty.com/

 "Luna Twilight"

"Volturi Twilight"

I also found out about this website from a fellow Twilight fanatic & You Tube Guru, WuBearKitten.
She recently made a video talking about this etsy site that creates Twilight themed Jewelry & accessories! How cute is that?!  You can find that website here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/heavyeyeliner

I know that this is just me giving into the marketing strategies of making even more money for Twilight--but I don't care! The products look pretty sweet!

My questions to you:
  • Are you a Twilight Fan?
  • Are you Team Edward of Team Jacob?
  • What/Who are you most excited about seeing in "New Moon"?
  • What are your thoughts on the Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, & Breaking Dawn books? I have not read the series yet!

I have been awarded the "One Lovely Blog" Award!

This is my first blog award, and I couldn't be happier!  MissVendella gave me this award with fourteen other bloggers-- and that was so sweet of her!  Thanks so much hun!

Happy Halloween 2009!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween!  These are just some of the pictures from a Pre-Halloween house party that my friends threw, as well as hanging out at the Brooklyn Halloween Parade on Halloween.  This parade is so much better than the one in the city!  For the Pre- Halloween Bash, I did my own makeup as the Dead Nurse, My boyfriend as the Dead Doctor, and My friend Liz as a KISS member! On the day of Halloween I did both mine and my boyfriends again, as well as transforming my father into the werewolf!

The Halloween Cast:
Me: A Dead Nurse!
My boyfriend Enrique: A Dead Doctor!
My father Lou: A Werewolf!
My friend Liz: At the house party she was a KISS member, on Halloween she was a Yankee fan!
I also happened to be dog sitting the cutest, most adorable Shi ztu ever--Noodles!  Her owners sent her with a little bat head band to wear which was super cute!

Onto the pictures!

Enrique, Myself, and Liz before heading out to the Pre-Halloween Bash!
