Event: Princess Themed Birthday Party!

I was recently hired to do a "Princess Themed Birthday Party" for a super-cool seven year old named Chloe.  She saw my work online and told her mom "I want to look like her!" How sweet!  After a conversation with her mother, MissGSketches, we decided that funky eye shadows, lip color, some blush, and glitter would make Chloe and her fellow diva's rock.  I packed my makeup bag to the brim with everything I could possibly need to make Chloe's day special.  Here is my you tube video on what I packed in the bag for this event, and pictures as well.

What I packed in the makeup bag for Chloe's Princess Themed 7th Birthday: [photo-heavy]
The Makeup bag that I used...

Clockwise (All from Coastal Scents): 88 Shimmer Palette, 88 Warm Palette, 88 Matte Palette, 28 Neutral Palette

T2B: 10 Piece Blush Palette, and 32 Lip Palette

Two Faced Shadow Insurance, and Facial Blotting Tissues from The Body Shop

Some Ben Nye Colors & Pencils

Gold Glitter Sample from Coastal Scents (In a Bare Minerals Container), & Silver Glitter from Mandee.

Sponge wedges, Spatulas, Double-sided eye-shadow applicators, and lip applicators.

A beading container which I turned into a palette: Each girl got her own compartment where I kept the applicators that were being used on her at the time, so that I would not get confused and so that nothing would be contaminated.  The larger compartment was used to mix the glitter with mixing medium.

Renior Brush Cleaner, Spray Bottle of water, spray bottle of Alcohol, Estee Lauder makeup remover, Eye wash, Visine eye drops, 100% Glycerin.

Cetaphil Facial Cleanser, Cetaphil Face Lotion, Baby Wipes, Tissue, Cotton Rounds, Q-tips, Regular mirror, and compact mirror.

My Coastal Scents 13 piece brush set, with three other of my own brushes.

Coo-coo for "New Moon"!

Did anyone else see "New Moon" yet?  I did and it was even better than "Twilight"!  I saw it the day it opened with my boyfriend and even though this movie isn't normally his cup of tea, he admits that it was a good movie!  Our favorite parts?  Mine had to be the ending, HANDS DOWN! Can we say cliff-hanger?! At least for me since I have not read the series yet.  My boyfriend appreciated the fight scenes, especially the ones including the wolves.  He is Team Jacob and I am Team Edward, which I knew was going to happen!

Some cool Robert Pattinson trivia:
  • Me and him were both born within the same month and year! May, 1986.
  • To the Robert Pattinson & Twilight haters, especially those who say Harry Potter is better than Twlight: Robert was in Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire (2005), as Cedric Diggory!  I guess you can't hate him that much right?!
I am not anti-Harry Potter, I just think Twilight is way better!

Pictures from me & Enrique's "New Moon" Date: [Photo heavy, with good reason] ;)

This is my "New Moon" Look: Should I do a tutorial on it?

Enrique bought me a "New Moon" movie poster at the merchandise table outside of the theater.

We then ate some amazing sushi, which was half off! I believe there was some special going on that night...

So in the midst of doing some work today, I was browsing around on Stephenie Meyer's website and came across this:

A Twilight Fan/Dork's dream!  Especially for people like me who need to start reading the books.  I promise myself that I will make time to do so when I am not so tied down with Graduate School!

What I really want!

I might just go to my local library if I don't get a chance to buy them in the meantime!

My questions to you!
  • What did you think of New Moon? What was your favorite part?
  • Should I do a tutorial for my New Moon Look?
  • Are you Team Edward or Team Jacob? Did this change after seeing New Moon?
  • Do you know of any cool Twilight fan/merch. sites that we should know about?
Leave your answers below! I am so interested to hear your thoughts!

Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. Blooms in the Fall

I went to Point Pleasant Beach, N.J. with my parents and boyfriend to visit family, and I got some beautiful photos!  After recently bumping into my old photography teacher from junior high, I remembered how much of a passion I had for taking photos of Flowers, and other things in nature.  When I was in the 8th grade, my photography teacher took all of the Photo majors on a trip to Italy! We were based in Florence, but we also visited: Sienna, Luca, Venice, Pisa, etc.  Everyday for about two weeks, we traveled by bus from Florence, to a different area and took some breath taking shots!  When we came back to the states, our photos were on display in New Century Artists Gallery in N.Y.C.! Two of my photos were even sold for $200.00 a pop! Of course the money went back to the amazing photography program for our dark room and supplies which is fine with me =)  I have a plethora of negatives, slides, and photographs from my trip to Italy in 2000, and when I am able to scan everything, there will be a HUGE blog post of the beautiful landscapes, art, and culture that I captured! Italy is truly amazing, and I was honored to visit where my family came from many years ago!

So, onto the photos that were taken on Sunday, September 27th, 2009 in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey: (Please note that all pictures that appear below are owned and under copyright of Lauren Perciballi, and may not be used or taken without permission.) If anyone is interested in buying prints of any of these pictures, send all inquiries to makeupbylaurenp@aol.com
